Expanding the Isometric Science Leadership Team

Dr. Jennifer Wilcox joins as Chief Scientist and Stacy Kauk as Head of Science

Isometric today announced the addition of two luminaries in the carbon dioxide removal (CDR) industry to our Science Leadership Team.

Dr. Jennifer Wilcox is joining as Chief Scientist and Stacy Kauk is joining as Head of Science.

Jen brings world leading scientific expertise and Stacy brings experience catalyzing and operationalizing the CDR market.

This leadership structure will ensure Isometric continues to be trusted as the market-leading, scientifically rigorous registry.

This is a significant expansion of Isometric’s Science Team, which is responsible for applying rigorous standards for measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) to all carbon removal activity in the field. This translates to high quality carbon credits that deliver confidence for buyers and suppliers—a key condition to helping CDR scale.

Stacy Kauk is a well known leader in CDR. She was most recently the Head of Sustainability at Shopify, where she was responsible for building Shopify’s CDR portfolio and was a founding member of Frontier. Her work has been catalytic to the industry. At Isometric, she will build on the rigor Isometric has brought to the market.

Dr. Jennifer Wilcox was most recently the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management at the Department of Energy and is the Presidential Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Energy Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. She has written and edited defining books on CDR (Carbon Capture, published in 2012, and CDR Primer, 2021) and is a leading voice in the scientific community.

I am thrilled to welcome Stacy and Jen to Isometric’s Leadership team. Their experience and passion will be huge accelerants to Isometric’s mission of helping scale the carbon removal industry—responsibly and fast. Scientific rigor is a critical factor to restore confidence in carbon markets and makes Isometric carbon removal credits unique. Stacy and Jen’s partnership will enable us to build such rigor into our products better and faster.
