AI agents check the data points they're uploaded, so problems are caught long before the verifier sees your report.
Each figure in your report is stored with the source data behind it, so the verifier can review your submission with less back and forth.

Non-EU producers of cement, iron and steel, aluminum, fertilizers, hydrogen and electricity whose goods are imported into the EU. From the 2026 reporting year, EU importers can only use a producer's actual emissions if they have been checked by an accredited verifier. Otherwise, they must use the EU's default values.
A monitoring plan sets out how a facility measures and calculates the embedded emissions of the goods it produces, including its data sources, calculation methods and emission factors. Your verifier checks your emissions report against it, so it needs to be in place before verification.
An emissions report sets out the embedded emissions of the goods a facility produced during the year, calculated using the methods in its monitoring plan. Once your verifier has checked it, you share it with your EU customers so they can declare your actual emissions rather than default values.
Your EU customers must declare your goods using the EU's default values. These are based on your country's average emissions plus a markup, which reaches 30% from 2028 for most goods. Your customers then pay for those higher emissions, which can make your products more expensive than those of exporters who have verified their emissions.
Each year's emissions are verified once that year is complete, in time for importers to file their declarations by September 30 the following year. The first declarations, covering 2026 imports, are due September 30, 2027.
