We are pleased to have been chosen by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a 2024 WEF Technology Pioneer.

Every year the WEF selects the world’s most promising companies at the forefront of technological and business model innovation. This prestigious program identifies leaders involved in the development and deployment of critical technologies and innovations.

As part of the WEF’s Centre for Nature and Climate, Isometric will work alongside some of the world’s top political, business and cultural leaders to address issues facing the planet. Through this collaboration we aim to build on the growing trend of governments requiring more scientific rigor and transparency in carbon markets.

Just in the past three months, there have been a series of important developments towards better regulation of carbon markets. The US Department of Energy’s Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Purchase Pilot Prize announced its first round of winners, the European Union passed its flagship legislation Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF) and the UK Government  published plans for integrating carbon removals into its cap-and-trade system.

These are all reflective of a recognition across a range of national governments that high-quality CDR will play a critical role in combating climate change.

Isometric believes governments have a critical role to play in regulating to ensure high quality standards in carbon removal credits and thus ultimately helping to restore trust in carbon markets.

This trust is critical to help carbon removal scale to the level the planet needs. Isometric is pleased to have been selected as a WEF Technology Pioneer and we aim in our work with WEF to support government efforts to rebuild trust in carbon markets.
