ICVCM approves Isometric’s Mangrove Restoration Protocol

All credits issued under v1.0 eligible to use CCP label

Isometric's Mangrove Restoration Protocol has become the first blue carbon protocol to be approved by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) to issue credits with the Core Carbon Principles (CCP) label.

This is Isometric's eighth carbon removal protocol to receive ICVCM approval, the most of any certifier. It is also the second Isometric Biosphere protocol to be approved, following the Reforestation Protocol in February 2026.

ICVCM approved the protocol after an independent assessment confirmed it meets all ten CCPs, including permanence, additionality, transparency, independent verification, and robust quantification.

Suppliers developing mangrove restoration projects with Isometric—including InQube, K Animus, and Planters—are now eligible to deliver CCP-labeled credits to their buyers.

For buyers, the CCP label signals credits that meet the ICVCM benchmark, simplifying procurement decisions. For suppliers, it helps unlock demand by demonstrating rigor, transparency, and quality.
