Isometric has partnered with Anglo American, a leading global mining company, to issue trusted, high-quality Enhanced Weathering (EW) credits. This agreement includes Project Earthstone in Brazil—a partnership between Anglo American and ZeroEx—which will use the by-product of mining operations as a feedstock.
Mining operators can play a key role in scaling carbon removal. By leveraging existing infrastructure to transform mine tailings and other by-products into feedstocks for technologies such as EW and mineralization, they have the potential to significantly accelerate deployment.
Project Earthstone is located close to agricultural land and already has stockpiles of fast-weathering EW feedstock with the potential to remove up to 15 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The magnesium-rich feedstock can also improve soil health and crop productivity—particularly in magnesium-depleted soils—alongside removing carbon from the atmosphere.

Under the agreement, Isometric will issue carbon removal credits in accordance with the Isometric Standard and the Enhanced Weathering in Agriculture Protocol—the most scientifically rigorous on the market. All measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) data will be tracked and managed through Isometric Certify.
High-quality credits—backed by science, transparency, and robust MRV—are essential to scaling carbon removal responsibly and fast. This partnership with Anglo American marks another significant step toward that goal.
